Customise your own unique candle by pouring your Elumi pearls into any vessel of your choosing. Marble, glass, ceramic, crystal, the possibilities are ENDLESS! Choose one colour or mix multiple. Just make sure they're large enough to keep the melt pool away from the edge. Minimum container width depends on a wick type. Generally, that means 4 inch minimum container width at the narrowest part for a single-wick candle with our standard wicks but test it carefully and make sure it's not heating up while burning.
Place a cotton or wooden wick and set an intention.
Insert the wick with only a 1/4" tip sticking out of the pearls, just enough to light it. Make sure to have at least 2" of pearls around the wick and at least 1" of pearls under the wick.The wooden wick needs to be pushed all the way in, leaving only a short tip out (about 1/8").
Infuse with scent, drop by drop. Pause between each one, let it unfold.
Pour 6-8 drops of a signature Elumi scent near the wick before lighting. You can use a singular scent or mix multiple fragrances to customise your scent profile. Remember to re-infuse every time you refresh your candle or insert a new wick. Our scents do not contain harmful chemicals, and therefore work subtly, without overpowering the entire room. When the wick is inserted correctly, each wick should last up to 12 hours. For the wooden wick, it will stay lit once the flame reaches the pearls, so you will need to keep lighting it a bit longer than you would on a normal wick.

Safety Guide
When used correctly, Elumi is safer than traditional candles. It self-extinguishes when tipped over, as the sand pearls snuff the flame.
Wick Placement
- Center the wick and keep it 2 inches from all edges and decor
- Use only one wick in a 4-inch container
Wax Depth
- Ensure at least 1 inch of wax pearls below the wick
- Helps the candle self-extinguish safely
Container Size
- Must be at least 4 inches wide at its narrowest point
- Ensures even melting and avoids overheating
If your Elumi Candle is accidentally left burning, the flame is expected under normal conditions to self-extinguish when it reaches the end of the wick without heating up the container. It will also typically self-extinguish when accidentally tipped over.
Good Fire Safety Practices

Elumi candle pearls are plant-based and non-toxic, but not edible. Do not ingest. Avoid getting pearls in your eyes to avoid irritation.
