Elumi Sand Wax can be poured into any heat-safe vessel, such as glass, ceramic, or metal. Ensure the container is stable, allows adequate space around the wick, and is placed on a heat-resistant surface. Fireproof containers are recommended, but it's possible to also use other containers safely as long as they're big enough. The key is to prevent the melt pool from reaching the container edge and to keep the container from heating up while burning. Generally, that means 4" minimum container width at the narrowest part but test it carefully and make sure it's not heating up while burning. Make sure to have at least 2 inches of pearls around each wick (use only one wick in a 4-inch wide container!), and at least 1 inch between the bottom of the wick and the container bottom.

The total burn time varies greatly based on how the product is used. Do you relight the same wick or refresh it each time? Do you use one or more wicks at a time? How long are you letting them burn before refreshing your candle? All these will affect how long your pearled candle will last. That said, the pearls burn slower compared to traditional candles and each 350 gram bag can provide up to 105 hours of burn time.

You can extinguish the flame by gently blowing it out, using a candle snuffer, or dipping the wick into the melted wax and straightening it afterward. Avoid forceful blowing to prevent wax movement.

Yes, all of our white pearls float on water. We do not recommend our coloured variants to be used as floating candles. Pour at least a 3" height of white pearls on top of water and make sure the bottom of the wick is not touching the water. Just add any decorations you'd like into a vase, fill it with water until the decor is submerged, and then pour Elumi pearls on top.

Yes. Once the wax has cooled, remove the spent wick and reuse the remaining wax by crushing the melt pool into powder form.

Not necessarily. Wicks can be reused until they are fully consumed or no longer perform properly.

No wick holder is required. Elumi wicks are designed to stand securely when placed correctly in the wax.

This can happen if the wick is too short, placed too close to airflow, or positioned near the container wall. Reposition the wick and ensure it extends slightly above the wax surface.

Wick lifespan depends on wick type and burn duration. Wooden and cotton wicks may last for multiple burns and up to 10 hours when used correctly.

Hold the flame to the wooden wick slightly longer during lighting so the surrounding wax warms and supports ignition.

Wicks are sold separately unless specified as part of a bundle or set.

Elumi Sand Wax is unscented by default. Fragrance is added separately using Elumi fragrance oils.

Scent strength is adjustable. We recommend starting with 7–8 drops of fragrance oil per use and adjusting based on personal preference.

For best performance and safety, we recommend using Elumi fragrance oils. External oils should be used with caution and never added to a burning candle. You may mix more than 1 Elumi scent to create an entirely unique and custom fragrance.

Yes, Elumi candles are safer than traditional candles when used as directed. Our pearls are made from highly purified plant-based wax, burning cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. They do not contain paraffin or any known allergens. Our scents do not contain parabens or phthalates. Our candles typically self-extinguish if accidentally spilled as the pearls snuff the flame. They also generally self-extinguish if accidentally left burning for an extended period of time, as the wick will eventually fall over and "drown" in the melt pool. We still recommend always following candle safety guidelines and keeping them out of reach of children and pets.

Elumi pearls are plant-based, vegan, and burn cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. They do not contain paraffin, soy or any known allergens. We use both natural and synthetic fragrances to scent our fragrances. Our scents are free of phthalates and parabens.

While Elumi products burn cleanly, pets may be sensitive to fragrances. Always burn candles in well-ventilated areas and keep flames out of reach.
